Two Platinum Awards go to Neylons Facility Management teams
April 2022
2019 saw the first and last CAP Platinum. The Bon Secours Care Village in Cork was the first establishment to land the ultimate declaration of excellence in housekeeping, with our Neylons Housekeeping team at the helm.
3 years later, and still navigating through the Covid-19 pandemic, two Platinum CAP Awards turned up. Impressive achievements for Beacon Hospital in Dublin and Mater Private in Cork and our Neylons Housekeeping Teams. More good news and further great success for our Neylons Team.
After receiving three successive Gold CAP Awards, both these major strategic Clients of Neylons qualified for a Platinum assessment towards the end of 2021.
We are delighted to confirm that they both successfully passed the platinum audit visit from the CAP assessors, with an overall score above 95% and a hands-on inspection above 90%.
Continual advancement over the years must be measured and the Platinum criteria are far more stringent than the Gold, according to Ian Jackson, CAP Chief Assessor (Source: https://www.capaward.co.uk/).

Ciprian Todoran, Director of Operations (East), said:
“The Platinum Award received by Beacon Hospital’s housekeeping department is a fantastic achievement. We are very proud of every team member led by Anabella and Laurentiu despite the staff challenges heightened during the Covid-19 pandemic. Everyone went above and beyond to achieve this accreditation and it took outstanding commitment and great work to get here. It demonstrated great teamwork, and we are looking forward to many more Platinum awards going forward.”
Mihai Moldovan, Director of Operations (South) said:
“Getting a Platinum CAP Award for Mater Private was a tremendous achievement for our Neylons operational team and also for our broader Neylons family. It has been the result of continuous and granular hard work by the Team, with the accreditation confirming that we are delivering an outstanding service. We have had our challenges when we think about Covid-19, staffing levels, and also the fact that our Contract manager is new to the role the last year. Overall, I am delighted with our achievement and want to say a huge thank you to our team in Mater Private, they should be very proud of themselves”
We have no doubt that we will hear about these Housekeeping Teams again as they keep moving forward! Thanks to one and all.
