Energy Management

Neylons group of companies offers the full range of energy services to the built environment. Our group provides energy auditing, analytics, and feasibility reporting.

From outline energy audits to full staff engagement programmes we can meet your full range of carbon and energy needs. The support we offer includes:

SEAI Accredited Grant Applications
Offering comprehensive grant application support for SEAI funding supports including:

Renewable Heat (SSRH – Heat Pumps/Biomass); Accelerated Capital Allowance Scheme (ACA, and Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme (EEOS, for energy credit verification).

Energy Surveys (Level 1)
Our site survey will identify significant energy usage within your buildings through reporting and bill validation. It will conclude with high-level recommendations to achieve quick win ‘no-cost’ measures in compliance with ASHREA Level 1 audit guidelines.

Energy Audits (Level 2)
Our energy audit builds upon our survey and complies with the guidelines set out by ASHRAE level 2 audits. This audit offers a more detailed treatment of the significant building energy usage by way of key performance indicators and likely energy-saving scenarios for ‘no-cost’ to ‘low-cost’ measures.

Energy Optimisation Consultancy
Providing expert support to assist with your energy strategy and planning. Including preparing an energy feasibility study and verifying the expected energy savings impact of project works. Thereafter, supporting the commissioning process to evidence energy savings.

Carbon Clinics
The carbon clinic comprises a consultation with our Energy Engineers to discuss the current carbon footprint for your business followed by the impact varying target scenarios would have, concluding by exploring the options that best socialise the carbon saving message to your staff and stakeholders.

Data Analytics
Assessing your energy consumption profiles from quarter-hourly to monthly to help identify trends, anomalies, and regular exceptions, filtering data into an easy-to-interpret format through a series of scenario options that lead to significant energy savings.

Investment Grade Energy Audits (SI 426, Level 3)
This level of audit goes beyond the high-level overview & significant energy use analysis to identify capital measures (‘high-cost’) to make a meaningful energy-saving outcome and complies with ASHRAE level 3 audits.

Gap Analysis (Targeted Audit)
This audit offers a pathway from the current building energy status to desired energy rating for the building or part thereof and a target rating. It also provides the actions required and suggested KPI’s to measure progress to attainment together with financial implications.

Energy Feasibility Studies (SEAI: SSRH, ACA, EEOS)
Detailed technical feasibility reporting in line with energy efficiency measures that are being considered for your built environment. This may include major plant and system life cycle and asset replacement strategies.

Data Monitoring & Targeting (M & T)
Providing a turnkey solution to all your data monitoring needs, be it to justify a feasibility study or to comply with an energy management system (ISO 50001) protocol. Through the strategic deployment of sub-metering, we can validate your significant energy end-usage, and help you define and set realistic targets.

Energy Dashboard Management
Our browser-based energy dashboard aligns to the key metrics you want to be reported in near-real-time and will link up your existing metering over a range of communication protocols currently in use. It provides an intuitive user interface which calls out the key energy messages you need to know as and when they occur.

Energy Bureau
Our Energy Bureau can filter your metered utility data streams into meaningful messaging that leads to meaningful energy savings. Typically, our energy bureau service will identify between 5 and 10% energy savings per year.

Staff Engagement Programmes
Our staff engagement programme creates an energy action plan that removes barriers to staff participation to save energy. We offer energy awareness activities, posters, electronic media, and facilitate energy team meetings & working group sessions. Our staff engagement programme saves between 5 and 20% energy consumption per annum.
